The WYC Fleet Captain is responsible for all aspects of the WYC annual and mini cruises. The Fleet Captain organizes the efforts of a team of volunteers who develop cruise itineraries and organize social functions at cruise destinations. WYC typically coordinates a spring mini-cruise, annual cruise the 1st week of August, and fall mini-cruise. Social events associated with cruising include beach parties, cocktail parties, and the annual cruise dinner.
We love cruising throughout southern New England, and some of our favorite destinations include Cuttyhunk, Matha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Woods Hole, Marion, Provincetown, Block Island, Mystic, and Stonington. Some of our members have been known extend the cruise and sail north to Maine, and south to NYC and beyond, including many who have sailed to the Caribbean for the winter!
2016 mini-cruise destinations include Newport, Bristol, and Jamestown. The annual summer cruise will take us to ports in Cuttyhunk, Vineyard Haven, Nantucket, and Quissett or Woods Hole.
