Where is the WYC and how does one get there?

The Wickford Yacht Club has an  address of 165 Pleasant Street, Wickford, RI 02852.  It is located on Narraganssett Bay's West Passage inside the breakwater that delineates Wickford Village Harbor from the Bay.  The yacht club physically sits at the end of Pleasant Street on the water.  Across from the yatch club building is a narrow inlet and the beautiful natural piece of nature called Cornelius Island.

To get to the WYC by boat a sailor needs to locate the breakwater off of Wickford Village. If coming from the South up the West passage of Narraganssett Bay, go through the center span of the Jamestown Bridge and stay East of and clear of Fox Island.  If coming from the North or around the North end of Conanicut Island proceed to the South of the Quonsett Industrial area and North of Fox Island.  Once North of Fox Island visulally find the Wickford Village breakwater opening or marker  R"2"Gong to the West. Proceed past R"2"Gong leaving to Starboard and into the Wickford Harbor Channel.  At R N"8" take the channel fork to the Northwest toward Mill Cove.  The WYC docks are to Port directly across from Cornelius Island.

If traveling by car, then proceed to Wickford Village in North Kingstown, RI.  Once in the village proceed to Main Street.  Take Main Street to the East and take the last left on Main Street which is Pleasant Street.  Follow Pleasant Street Northward and the WYC is the last building on the right.
